Try to crack deal at right time and price. Always look for items in discount and sale. Buying  in bulk can get you things in lesser price than marked rate.

Try to visit the store late in evening when stores wants to get rid of all perishable goods because they get spoiled when not refrigerated or consumed within time. These perishable goods includes meat, fish, dairy products and breads.

TRY FREEZING FOOD:

Try freezing foods for a longer use. Some vegetable like peas, carrot, green beans can be frozen at home and can be later used in many dishes. Some foods and vegetables costs less in frozen form.
