After saying marriage vows, your husband becomes the most important person in your life. Just praying and fasting for his long life is not enough, but making efforts to keep him healthy and fit is real task for every woman. In early marriage days, you try to make him happy by cooking his favourite food, going out for dinner dates but after all the bling is over, you realise that he has become unfit and lost interest in maintaining his physique and health.
Health does not mean counting calories, weight and treadmill miles only; it’s about his total mental and physical well being. Here are some important things to keep in mind for his long and healthy life.
1. INSPIRE AND ACCOMPANY HIM TO EAT HEALTHY:
You can’t control and force him to eat healthy, until he wants to have it. Encourage him to have a good diet, avoid fried and junk, quit on bad habits of smoking and drinking. Never tell him he’s fat, but say that he looks good when is fit and healthy. Always accompany him in healthy meals you make for him.
2. MOTIVATE HIM TO TAKE UP GOOD HEALTH SERIOUSLY:
After a certain age, your body need desired nutrition, exercise and sound sleep to keep you going. A wise man truly said ” HEALTH IS WEALTH”. Make your husband realise that he is man of house and only when he is healthy, he can perform all the duties well.
3. HELP HIM TO DESTRESS:
You can’t share his work load but at least try making the home atmosphere peaceful and happy so he can shed weight of stress and feel comfortable when he comes back home. A loving family really helps a person to destress. Cultivate a good bond with your husband so that he can share all his problems with you and feels at ease.
4. TAKE UP ACTIVE ACTIVITIES:
You should motivate your husband for physical activities like playing outdoor sports such as cricket, tennis or soccer. If he doesn’t have time for this, you can accompany him in morning or evening walks; that also work better. You can also plan outing with children to garden or go for vacations that can also help him destress.
5. TAKE UP A ROUTINE CHECKUP:
Getting all your body check not only helps you know your health problems, but makes you aware about what is wrong with your diet and lifestyle. Doctors always recommend full body check-up at least once a year.
